Feel important, feel Hot!
For more than thirty editions, a time machine to the Swing Era: red-hot music, vintage clothes and an atmosphere somewhere between an underground speakeasy and an old-time gala.
Not just social dancing, but an immersive experience that recreates the world in which people met, dressed and spent their free time in the golden age of swing — with elegance, rhythm and a longing for freedom.
From 9.30 pm sharp you'll be welcomed by a red carpet, vintage cars, curious characters and a fine glass of prosecco.
- Live bandItalian and international orchestras, with the instruments and arrangements of the 78 rpm era.
- Dress codeElegant 1920s–50s, required. With a prize outfit contest.
- Vintage carsThe red carpet at the entrance and the photo set.
- CharactersSomeone offering matches and cigars with a forbidden flavor, someone who'll shine your shoes for a few cents.
- Swing selectionBetween sets, the right records to keep you dancing.
- Barber shopHair and make-up to complete the look.
- Vintage marketPeriod clothes and accessories to take home.
- Retro drinksThe welcome drink and a bar with the cocktails of the era.

The story
“Step across the threshold of this magical world and let yourself be carried away, in swing time.”
The Hot Swing Club was born in 2011 from an idea of Antonio Del Villano and Giulia Fantini, with the help of several Florentine cultural associations: a night to bring together all the city's dancers, jazz and blues lovers, and fans of vintage and retro style.
The original idea was to bring together all the swing and boogie woogie teachers in and around Florence, because their different experiences and interpretations of swing could make a one-of-a-kind event.
Over the years came two live stages, one room for Lindy Hop and one for Boogie Woogie, guests like Ryan François, and ever more extraordinary venues. Today dancers from all over Italy come to Florence for this revival of the authentic Swing Era atmosphere.
In January 2026, at the thirty-second edition, an elegant themed dinner became part of the story for the first time: the Hot Swing Dinner. And when dinner ends, the night has only just begun.

The venues
Palazzina Reale
Santa Maria Novella
A masterpiece of Rationalist architecture, built in 1935 as a residence for the King of Italy when passing through Florence. You dance on the original wooden floor, among golden mosaics and period furniture. It is normally closed to the public.
Villa Braggiotti
Montughi
A fifteenth-century villa on the Montughi hills. In the 1920s the Braggiottis — two opera singers and their eight children — made it a salon for the Futurists and then a dance school: a temple of music, under an Art Nouveau skylight.
Renny
Via Baracca 1F
Tuballoswing's home since 2018: theater, concert hall and meeting place for the community. This is where the Hot Swing Club came back in 2022, and where the Hot Swing Dinner was born.
And before that: the Dancing La Perla and Villa Montalto.

Required
No booking, no entry — and places are limited. Book online or at the Renny office, Monday to Friday from 3.30 pm to 10.30 pm. The Renny membership card is included in the fee.
